TechCrunch: Appformix adds support for VMware following Juniper acquisition

TechCrunch reports that After acquisition by Juniper, Cloud optimization service Appformix adds support for VMware. Juniper JNPR 30,15 +0,57 +1,93% purchased Appformix in December last year.

Appformix uses telemetery from OpenStack or Kubernetes managed SDE or NFV environments via thin agents on each node. It remediates actions automatically based on machine-learning. Appformix data remains behind the firewall, and is not transmitted to a cloud, improving security. It supports bare-metal, virtual machines and containers.

Juniper is expecting the support of VMware VMW 125,03 +0,62 +0,50% to broaden the appeal of Appformix from the OpenStack telco market to the enterprise. vRealize is the VMware tool normally used for such tasks.
