John is currently a Senior Technical Consultant with Ipanema Technologies , and is based in the United Kingdom. He has an extensive background in application performance management and network design. He worked for Borland International, specialising in measuring and improving the performance of client-server database applications. For 8 years was responsible for network design and operation of managed services for some of the largest blue-chip companies (such as Unilever , GlaxoSmithKline and others for GlobalOne , Equant .
At Equant and Orange Business Services , he was a Senior Network Optimization Consultant for four years, and provided managed services based on Packeteer, Juniper, Riverbed, Cisco and Ipanema to customers.
Outside of work, he is a married father of two, and likes to spend time driving around the countryside in his Mazda RX-8.
