Vodafone Selects Juniper Contrail for SDN automation and agility

Vodafone have selected Juniper‘s Contrail for their SDN orchestration. Vodafone’s Ocean transformation started in 2015 and uses network virtualisation to drive operational change. They are looking for an optimised end-to-end service orchestration. Contrail will enable Vodafone’s deployment of a portal driven provisioning service; as well as using service-chaining, on-demand services and virtualised CPE. In doing so, Vodafone will also need to integrate the orchestrator with existing OSS/BSS systems. Juniper will host at its booth in Mobile World Congress (MWC) a presentation on Vodafone’s VPN+.

“Being able to provide automated, virtualized, cloud-enabled networking capabilities securely and at scale is fundamental to our future success, and we are pleased to have Juniper on board as a key technology partner.” – David Amzallag, Head of Network Virtualization, Vodafone Group

Announced in a press-release from Juniper, (Vodafone Selects Juniper Networks’ SDN Capability for Automated and Agile Business Services).
