SDxCentral: Rackspace Acquires TriCore Solutions

SDxCentral announces Rackspace Acquires TriCore Solutions, Names Eazor as CEO. Rackspace Unfortunately, we could not get stock quote RAX this time. is buying privately owned TriCore, who specialise in Oracle and SAP hosting for enterprises. This is going to be the largest acquisition in Rackspace’s history, so after it closes, expect more layoffs as consolidation occurs in the organisation.

“Our customers are asking us to move further ‘up the stack’ by expanding our managed application capabilities. TriCore’s services are among the best in that space and are highly complementary to ours. They will help enable us to deliver more of the services that our existing customers need, while opening the door to new opportunities across the globe.”  – Jeff Cotten, president and interim CEO, Rackspace

Rackspace’s press-release is available, as it TriCore’s press-release.

I still think the hosting marketplace is still due for further consolidation. Expect more news before the end of the year.
