SDxCentral: SD-WAN Vendors Market Share 2Q2017

The post SDxCentral: Top SD-WAN Vendors Based on Revenue in Q1 2017 has been getting a lot of views recently. So here’s an update. SDxCentral yesterday posted their analysis of the Q2 2017 report for SD-WAN market leaders. It makes interesting reading.

The top three remain in the same locations as before, with Velocloud leading with a share of 31%, and a revenue of $24mn this quarter. VMware has recently bought Velocloud. Viptela (now part of Cisco) has a market share of 12% and $9.2mn of revenue. Talari Networks is in third place, but only just with $4.2mn of income and a 5% market share. Then we get a cluster of other players (which indeed includes Talari as well), with Citrix, TELoIP, and Cisco. There is still a lot of market consolidation needed. Riverbed, Silver Peak and InfoVista are all clustered within the Others segment, comprising a massive 43% of the share.
