The Register is reporting that today is the 7th World Backup Day. I’ll bet you didn’t know that.
It is a good time to dust of the backup/restore procedure manual and verify the process works. Also check that you (and others) know where the spare key to the off-site tape safe is kept.
As a marketing exercise, World Backup Day seems to have gained some traction with lots of backup suppliers getting in on the act, and worldbackupday.org points to Acronis, who make (guess what).. backup solutions.
